POSITION SUMMARY

 

The incumbent in this position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Hard Rock Spa message therapists.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all-inclusive for specific positions.)

 

  1. Provide massage services to guests using normally accepted techniques and rubbing compounds.  Provide massage services to guests in all required locations throughout the hotel including but not limited to the; Pool, In Room, Casino Floor, Poker Room and Special Event areas and Rooms.
  2. Follow all protocols as instructed and trained as they pertain to the menu of services.
  3. Keeping each treatment room clean, hazard free and stocked per departmental, health department and board of massage therapy guidelines.
  4. Ensure guest satisfaction while operating within established guidelines.  This includes but is not limited to picking guest up for their services on time, providing a quality service to each guest, having a pleasant attitude and ending each service at the appropriate amount of time
  5. Follows all department guidelines in regards to procedures, treatment protocol and sexual misconduct policy to ensure the highest standards of professionalism and guest satisfaction.

 

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ability to communicate effectively at all times, with customers as well as all levels of employees. Must be able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation. Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area. Ability to perform all treatments and services provided by the spa to a satisfactory level as determined by the Lead Massage Therapist or determined by guest comments.

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Minimum graduation from a 500-hour program from an accredited massage school.
  • Must have the Massage National Certification
  • Must have current State of Nevada Massage License
  • Willingness to learn new modalities and services to ensure guest satisfaction and updates to the spa industry.
  • A minimum of at least 2 years experience working as a massage therapist in a spa environment.
